We are the Phoenix Bowmen, a target archery club who shoot outdoors at Copley and indoors at Sowerby Bridge near Halifax, Yorkshire. We are a well-established club with a growing and active membership.
We shoot both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season and the weather. We shoot recurves, barebows, compounds and English longbows. All shooting at the club is target shooting, but our members also take part in field archery and clout archery shoots.
All practising, prospective and returning archers are welcome. We can lend club equipment to people wanting to give archery a try. The facilities are safe for children.
Please note that we do not have suitable facilities for crossbows (and our constitution excludes the use of crossbows at the club) and we may not be able to handle very large groups.
